Christian Service University (CSU) is pleased to announce that Apostle Dr. Paul Kang Ewala Diboro, a Lecturer in the Department of Theology, has completed a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Religious Studies by Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST).
Dr. Diboro’s doctoral dissertation, titled “A Study of Acts 17:22–34 and its Implications for the Dagaaba Christian Community,” makes a contribution to the field of Biblical Studies, with particular focus on Christian mission and African Biblical hermeneutics. The research advances contextual interpretation of Scripture and scholarly engagement between biblical texts and African worldviews.
Dr. Diboro graduated with a first-class degree in Theology with Administration from Christian Service University, his alma mater. Rev. Dr. Diboro has held several roles within the University, progressing from Teaching Assistant and Assistant Chaplain to his current position as a full-time Lecturer, a role he has held since 2018. Alongside his teaching responsibilities, he has served in various administrative capacities, including Examination Officer at both departmental and faculty levels, Coordinator for University Examinations, Seminars and Colloquium at the department of Theology, and a former member of the Admissions Committee.
His contributions to the University include programme development and delivery, notably the coordination of certificate courses in Biblical Studies and Ministry across multiple centres. This work has supported access to theological education and facilitated student progression into undergraduate and postgraduate programmes.
Rev. Dr. Diboro is the Founder and Head Pastor of Rock of Praise Church, Obuasi, and contributes to the University’s chaplaincy activities.
His research interests include New Testament studies, Christian missions, and mother-tongue biblical interpretation. He has published in peer-reviewed academic journals and is a member of international scholarly bodies, including the Institute of Biblical Scholarship in Africa (IBSA-West Africa), and Langham Scholarly Ministry.
