Christian Service University prepares students not only for immediate employment but for long-term relevance in a rapidly evolving global landscape, the Acting Vice-Chancellor, Dr. Stephen Banahene, has stated.
Speaking at the last Matriculation Ceremony for the 2025/2026 cohort, he underscored the University’s distinctive approach to higher education, which combines academic excellence with moral and spiritual formation.
“At Christian Service University, we are committed to preparing you not just for today’s jobs, but for tomorrow’s world,” Dr. Banahene said.
He explained that CSU’s educational philosophy integrates knowledge, character, and leadership development, ensuring that graduates are both professionally competent and ethically grounded.
“Education is not merely an intellectual exercise. It is an act of worship,” he noted, adding that excellence, integrity, and service remain central to the University’s mission.
The Acting Vice-Chancellor urged students to build meaningful networks, develop leadership capacity, and strengthen their spiritual foundations during their time at the University.
“You have not come here simply to pursue personal success. You have come to prepare yourselves as instruments of transformation in Ghana and beyond,” he stated.
Dr. Banahene added that the University’s continuous curriculum review and emphasis on innovation equip graduates to contribute meaningfully to national development and global progress.
He concluded by encouraging students to uphold integrity, noting that “your certificate must represent both competence and character.”
