Christian Service University proudly spotlights Mr. John Kontor, a dedicated finance professional and a pillar of the University’s administrative team. With nearly 3 decades of experience in accounting and financial management, Mr. Kontor was recently appointed Acting Director of Finance—his second time serving in this role.
Since joining CSU in 2002, he has held key positions including Accounts Officer, Senior Accountant, and Head of Finance department. He holds an MBA in Accounting from Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology, (KNUST), a BBA in Accounting from CSU, and an HND from Kumasi Polytechnic (now Kumasi Technical University).
Mr. Kontor is highly regarded for his precision in the preparation of financial statements and reconciliation, and commitment to mentoring young accountants. His leadership continues to advance CSU’s financial operations and strategic growth.
Beyond his professional duties, Mr. Kontor serves as a Lay Pastor with the Assemblies of God Church and brings over 20 years of ministry experience as a preacher and evangelist. His impactful evangelistic ministry has earned him recognition as an ‘Associate Pastor’ across several charismatic churches in Greater Kumasi and Northern Ghana.
He is married and blessed with two adult children.
