The Students’ Representative Council (SRC) of Christian Service University has officially unveiled its flagship Digital Signboard Project for the 2025/2026 academic year, marking a significant step towards transforming communication and information sharing across the University community.

Mr. Philemon Williams (SRC President)

Speaking at the unveiling, the SRC President, Mr. Philemon Williams, noted that the project fulfils one of the key promises of his administration, aimed at promoting efficiency in information dissemination and supporting CSU’s digital transformation agenda. He explained that the Digital Signboard will serve multiple purposes, including displaying University announcements, publishing examination-related information, highlighting SRC activities, and providing important reminders for students across faculties and departments.

“It is designed to keep students informed, enhance transparency, and support the learning environment,” he emphasised.

Acting Vice-Chancellor (Dr. Stephen Banahene)

The Acting Vice-Chancellor, Dr. Stephen Banahene commended the SRC for the innovative initiative, describing it as timely in an era driven by technology and digital advancement. He encouraged students to make effective use of the platform and disclosed that the University would soon establish a modern Communication Studio to further position Christian Service University at the forefront of academic excellence.

While formally dedicating the Digital Signboard Project, the University Chaplain, Rev. Anthony Boateng-Agyenim underscored the importance of aligning technological advancement with the University’s Christian values. He led a brief dedication ceremony with a scripture reading from Proverbs 16 and prayed for the project to effectively serve its intended purpose and contribute positively to campus life.

The Dean of Students, Rev. Dr. Emmanuel Twumasi-Ankrah also expressed appreciation to the SRC leadership for their vision, noting that such initiatives strengthen student governance and enhance the overall student experience.

Now operational at the Chapman Library forecourt, the Digital Signboard stands as a testament to the SRC’s commitment to modernising campus communication and supporting students with quick, reliable, and accessible information.
