The Chaplaincy Unit of Christian Service University (CSU) made its mark across campus during the first semester of the 2025/2026 academic year, drawing students, staff, and weekend learners together in a series of spiritually enriching programmes centred on faith, fellowship, and character formation.
The Unit’s activities were anchored in the semester’s theme, “Go the Extra Mile,” drawn from Matthew 5:41 — a call that challenged students and staff alike to deepen their commitment to faith, service, and personal excellence.
Bible Quiz Crowns School of Business
One of the semester’s most spirited events was the Inter-Faculty Bible Quiz, which brought students from across faculties together in a lively test of biblical knowledge. The School of Business emerged victorious, claiming top honours in an exciting display of scriptural mastery and healthy competition.
Advent Reflection and Prayer Nights
As the Christmas season approached, the Chaplaincy held Advent Reflection Sessions — dedicated moments of spiritual meditation that prepared the hearts of students and staff for the significance of the season. Complementing this were the monthly Last Friday Half-Night Revival Services, which continued to draw members of the University community for powerful evenings of prayer, worship, healing, and renewal.
Reaching Weekend Students
In a deliberate effort to ensure no member of the CSU community was left out, the Chaplaincy organised First Saturday Worship Services specifically for weekend students. The initiative ensured that those who attend classes on weekends remained fully connected to the University’s vibrant spiritual life.
“Through these engagements, the Chaplaincy Unit once again demonstrated that spiritual vitality and academic life are not separate pursuits.” — Rev. Anthony Boateng Agyenim. At CSU, they are inseparable.
