Christian Service University College (CSUC) has donated bags of cement and foodstuffs worth
2000 Ghana cedis towards the wall refurbishment project of Cherubs Foundation International
(CFI), Kumasi-Apire. The gesture formed part of the annual Christian and Social mandates of the
university in assisting the afflicted in accordance with the teachings of the Holy Bible.
The Acting Registrar, Mrs. Sophia Awortwe who led the team disclosed that CFI has been
offering great humanitarian service to the poor and the needy in society, and needed massive
recognition and support from a Christian institution like CSUC in times of challenges. She also
affirmed CSUC’s commitment towards continuous aid to such worthy projects.
Elder Nicholas Osei Bonsu, the Head of the orphanage who received the items, expressed his
gratitude for the gesture and noted that the donation will contribute a great deal in restoring the
broken fence wall after the June 24, 2021 devastating downpour in Kumasi.
He further noted that as part of CFI’s future projects, the Foundation looks forward for more
funding to provide the unemployed youth of the Apire community with basic vocational training
and employable skills.
(CFI is a non-profit organisation that provides basic needs to vulnerable and needy children and
the youth, with emphasis on Child Care and Education).
