Christian Service University (CSU) continues to deepen its international outlook through the growing visibility, participation, and leadership of its international student community, reinforcing its commitment to diversity and global engagement.
Central to this progress is the International Students Association (ISA), which has evolved into an active platform supporting international student enrollment, welfare, cross-cultural integration, and student participation in mainstream university life. Through structured engagement, collaboration with key student bodies, and regular interaction with University Management, international students are increasingly contributing to CSU’s institutional growth. CSU attracts international student from Nigeria, Togo, Equatorial Guinea, and Côte d’Ivoire, reflecting the University’s expanding regional presence within West Africa.

A major milestone in this journey is the election of Miss Chiamaka Francisca Aguh, a Level 300 Nursing student from Nigeria, as Students’ Representative Council (SRC) Women’s Commissioner for the 2025/2026 academic year. Her election marks the first time an international student has occupied a major executive position within the SRC, reflecting CSU’s diversity in student governance culture since its establishment in 1974.

Beyond leadership representation, international students have strengthened their engagement with University structures. In October, ISA executives paid a courtesy visit to the Acting Vice-Chancellor, Dr. Stephen Banahene, following his appointment, to formally introduce their vision and reaffirm their commitment to supporting CSU’s academic and student-life agenda. The engagement highlighted Management’s openness to collaboration and the University’s supportive environment for international students.
ISA has also worked closely with the SRC on initiatives such as welcoming campaigns for international students, supporting onboarding, welfare advocacy, and cross-cultural understanding on campus. These efforts contribute to a campus climate where diversity is embraced and international students are fully integrated into CSU’s academic and social life.
Collectively, these developments position Christian Service University as a welcoming destination for students from across borders—one that values global perspectives, nurtures leadership without boundaries, and prepares students to thrive in an interconnected world.
As CSU continues to attract its international students, the growing participation of internationals underscore the University’s vision of faith-based higher education with global relevance.
