
The Management of Christian Service University (CSU) has appointed Ms. Vivian Amponsah, University Librarian, as the Mentorship Programme Coordinator with effect from 1st October, 2025, for a two-year term. The appointment is in addition to her role as Librarian of the University.
The Mentorship Programme is a key student-development initiative designed to strengthen character formation, academic and career planning, spiritual growth, and psychosocial support, ensuring that students are holistically guided throughout their academic journey.
Ms. Amponsah brings to this role a wealth of professional experience, passion for mentorship, and a demonstrated commitment to holistic student development.
Since her appointment as University Librarian in 2022, she has distinguished herself through innovative leadership, redefining the CSU Chapman Library as a vibrant hub for learning, collaboration, and personal growth. Her work consistently reflects a deep commitment to nurturing students beyond the classroom—an ethos that aligns strongly with the University’s mentorship vision.
As Mentorship Programme Coordinator, she will work closely with mentors accross all departments to strengthen mentor–mentee engagement. Her work will focus on monitoring progress, promoting supportive learning environments, and delivering measurable impact across academic, spiritual, and personal development areas.
Ms. Amponsah holds an MPhil in Information Studies (University of Ghana), a BA in Social Sciences (University of Cape Coast), and is currently pursuing a PhD in Information Science. A chartered member of the Ghana Library Association and an award-winning professional, she is widely recognized for her leadership, innovation, and dedication to student success.
