In recognition of his contributions on security and safety issues, the Management of Christian Service University (CSU) has appointed Captain Retired Eric Ahudey as Transport Manager, effective 1st August 2025.
Capt. Ahudey attributes this appointment to his extensive experience in fleet operations, regulatory compliance, and the implementation of cost-effective transport strategies. Going forward, he aims to introduce a more structured and accountable transport system, with a focus on preventive maintenance, improved fuel management, driver capacity building, and environmentally friendly practices.
His Profile
Capt. (Rtd.) Eric Ahudey is a military officer turned academic, whose career spans over two decades of leadership in logistics, peacekeeping, and education.
He joined CSU in 2015 as an adjunct lecturer, became full-time faculty in 2016, and now lectures in the Department of Marketing, Logistics and Corporate Strategy at the School of Business. Beyond teaching and supervising undergraduate projects, he has served as Coordinator for the Weekend School and Access Course Programme, and contributed to several committees including Admissions, Examination Malpractice, and Health and Safety Advisory. He is also the current chairman of the CSU Executive Hostel Committee.
Before joining CSU, he served as Chief Logistics Officer of the Central Command, Ghana Armed Forces, and Officer Commanding of the 2 Field Ordnance Company. He also played strategic roles in UN Peacekeeping Missions in Côte d’Ivoire and Liberia, leading logistics for the Ghana Battalion.
He is the recipient of several honours, including UN Peacekeeping Medals in 2006 and 2011 respectively (UNOCI IN 2006 AND UNMIL IN 2012) and a Good Conduct and Long Service Medal (Ghana in 2008). Known for his discipline, strategic thinking, and mentorship, he is a respected member of both the academic and security communities.
Capt. Ahudey holds an MSc in Supply Chain Management from Coventry University (UK), a BA in Political Science and Psychology from the University of Ghana, and a Diploma in Military Studies from the Ghana Military Academy. His research interests include logistics efficiency, sustainable supply chains, and humanitarian logistics. He is currently authoring a book titled Green Supply Chain Management: A Government Guide to Effective Waste Management.
Capt. Ahudey is a member of the Methodist Church Ghana, Dominase in the Ashanti Bekwai District and enjoys fish farming as a hobby. He is married with three daughters.
