CSU Appoints Alumna Florence Achiaa Pokumensah as Head of Human Resource

Christian Service University (CSU) has appointed Mrs. Florence Achiaa Pokumensah as Head of Human Resource and General Administration under the Office of the Registrar with effect from November 1, 2025.

Mrs. Pokumensah is a proud alumna of Christian Service University, having obtained both her Bachelor of Business Administration (Human Resource Management option) and Master of Science in Corporate Planning and Governance from CSU. Her elevation into this strategic leadership role reinforces the University’s philosophy of investing in human capital developed within its own academic and ethical ecosystem.

She is a long-serving and distinguished administrator who has worked with CSU for over two decades (since 2003), making her one of the University’s most experienced and trusted institutional leaders. Over the years, she has served in multiple administrative portfolios across the University, including the General Office, Admissions, Examinations, Students’ Affairs, the Library, the Registrar’s Secretariat, and the Offices of former Presidents, Principals, and Vice-Chancellor.

Notably, she managed the Vice-Chancellor’s Secretariat for over ten years, a role that demanded the highest levels of professionalism, confidentiality, discretion, and interpersonal competence. Her service in that capacity earned her formal recognition for diligence and excellence, alongside long-service and hardworking administrator awards.

Mrs. Pokumensah is an Assistant Registrar and an Associate Member of the Chartered Institute of Human Resource Management (CIHRM), Ghana. She is widely regarded within the CSU community as an institutional memory, a dependable professional, a mentor, and a pillar of support to staff, students, alumni, and stakeholders.

Vision for the Role

As Head of Human Resource and General Administration, Mrs. Pokumensah brings to the role a clear vision centred on fairness, professionalism, staff development, and system efficiency. She is passionate about creating a conducive and ethical working environment, strengthening compliance to policies and procedures, and promoting effective recruitment, performance management, training, conflict resolution, and staff welfare.

“It is my vision to ensure that staff are treated fairly, systems work efficiently, and the University continues to be a peaceful, supportive, and people-centred environment where everyone can give their best,” she noted.

With her deep institutional knowledge, strong human relations skills, academic grounding in HR and corporate governance, and proven administrative leadership, Mrs. Florence Achiaa Pokumensah is well positioned to advance CSU’s human capital agenda and contribute meaningfully to the University’s next phase of growth.
