Christian Service University (CSU) has crowned its 2026 Kings and Queens following a colourful pageantry that showcased leadership, confidence, talent and purpose among first-year students.
Organised by the Students’ Representative Council (SRC) under the leadership of the Women’s Commissioner, Ms. Chiamaka Francisca Aguh, the restructured Face of CSU pageantry was held under the theme, “Beauty with Purpose, Leadership with Impact”.
Speaking on the event, Ms. Aguh said the pageantry was designed as a leadership and personal development platform to help students build confidence, strengthen communication skills and develop the capacity to serve as ambassadors of the University.
At the end of the competition, Diana Acheampong Owoahene and John Peter Kehinde, both Level 100 students, emerged as the 2026 Queen and King respectively. Millicent Appiah and Oriade Adewale Emmanuel, also Level 100 students, were named first runners-up, while Roselyn Abugri, a Level 100 student, was adjudged second runner-up in the female category.
According to the organisers, contestants were assessed in areas including fashion presentation, talent, cultural performance, project presentation, catwalk, final question and public voting.
Ms. Aguh described the winners as students who consistently demonstrated confidence, discipline, leadership potential and effective public engagement throughout the competition. She noted that the pageantry sought to identify students who embody character, purpose and a commitment to making meaningful contributions to the University community.
As part of their tenure, the newly crowned King and Queen will champion student-centered projects. Queen Diana’s “Hope Health Initiative” seeks to promote mental and physical wellness while supporting individuals in recovery through awareness and education. King John’s “Roadmap to Academic Excellence” aims to equip students with practical strategies for academic success through digital learning content and mentorship.
Beyond the crowning, Ms. Aguh said the SRC will continue to mentor the contestants and support the implementation of the winners’ projects as part of efforts to sustain the pageantry as a platform for leadership development and student empowerment at Christian Service University.
