Warm Greetings to our students, staff, alumni, partners, and all friends of the University as we reflect on a quarter marked by meaningful strides across several fronts.
The first quarter of every year sets the tone for the months ahead. And for Christian Service University, the opening of 2026 has been one of purpose, progress, and promise. We are thankful to God for His grace and mercies, and how far He has brought us.
Infrastructure Developments
On the infrastructure development, a landmark moment of the quarter was the sod-cutting ceremony for a new 836-bed student hostel facility at our Sabin Akrofrom campus. This project is a deliberate investment in student welfare and holistic development. It is a clear signal of our commitment to creating an enabling environment where students can thrive academically, spiritually, and socially.
Accreditation of New Programmes
We have completed accreditation process on Doctor of Ministry in Christian Leadership and Management. The first batch of students are expected to be admitted in September, 2026. Plans are far advanced for the accreditation of new programmes such as the Bachelor of Laws, and BSc. Physician Assistantship.
Digital Scholarship and Innovation
Equally noteworthy, our academic and administrative life has continued to gain momentum. The 2026 Library Month, themed “Stewarding Knowledge in the Age of Artificial Intelligence,” underscored our commitment to positioning CSU at the forefront of digital scholarship by leveraging information technology to enhance teaching, learning, research, and innovation.
Faculty and Leadership Appointments
Faculty leadership appointments have also been made to enhance organisational efficiency and effectiveness, bringing dynamism into our academic programmes.
These developments, taken together, reflect an institution that is growing with intentionality.
Charting the Path Forward
As we look to the rest of the year, our focus will remain on strengthening academic quality, expanding student support, deepening community partnerships, and advancing the strategic goals that define our vision for CSU. Much work lies ahead, and I am confident that with the collective commitment of every member of this community, we are well positioned to meet the demands of this season.
I encourage you all to remain steadfast, serve with excellence, and hold fast to the Christian values that are the bedrock of this institution. Together, we build not just a university, but a legacy.
May God bless you, and bless Christian Service University.
(Dr. Stephen Banahene) Ag. Vice-Chancellor, Christian Service University
