CSU Delegation

The CSU delegation, led by the Acting Vice-Chancellor, Dr. Stephen Banahene, together with senior officers, and friends of the University, presented a beautiful lighted-embossed plaque and a token of appreciation, symbolically described as “nkosua sika” (egg money), signifying enduring goodwill and blessings of long life.

The plaque, inscribed with words of deep appreciation, read:

“As one of the esteemed Founding Fathers of CSU, we acknowledge your immeasurable contribution towards the establishment and growth of the University. On the occasion of your 85th Birthday, the entire community takes this opportunity to wish you a blessed and happy birthday. May the good Lord bless you with many healthier years of love, laughter, and     great  memories     to         cherish.”
From the Acting Vice-Chancellor, Registrar, and the entire University Community

Making the presentation, the Acting Vice-Chancellor described the occasion as “a fitting moment to celebrate a visionary whose faith, leadership, and selflessness helped lay the foundation of CSU.”

Rev. Dr. Darko, visibly enthused, expressed profound gratitude to the University for the honour, thanking God for the gift of long life and urging all to “do good as humans.”

A respected pillar in Christian and business communities, Rev. Dr. Kwabena Darko was the Founder and Executive Chairman of Darko Farms & Company Ltd, established in 1967 and grown into one of West Africa’s largest integrated poultry enterprises.
