The Governing Council of Christian Service University (CSU) has appointed Mr. Samuel Nkansah, a Chartered Accountant, as the new Director of Finance, effective August 1, 2025. Until his appointment, he served as the University’s Internal Auditor, where his dedication and analytical acumen strengthened CSU’s financial and accountability structures.
Mr. Nkansah joined Christian Service University on October 3, 2019, as a Senior Accounting Assistant and later served as a Payroll Accountant before his elevation to the position of Internal Auditor in December 2021. His leadership skills and management of internal control and compliance policies significantly enhanced efficiency, and reinforced prudent resource management.
Mr. Nkansah holds two Master’s degrees — a Master of Science in Accounting and Finance from CSU and a Master of Commerce in Financial Management from Amity University, India. He also earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration (Accounting), from Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST). He is a proud member of both the Institute of Chartered Accountants, Ghana (ICAG) and the Institute of Internal Auditors, Ghana (IIA).
His solid academic and professional grounding underpins his vision to make CSU financially sustainable through cost reduction, efficient resource use, and the establishment of a robust endowment framework.
Expressing gratitude to the University Council and management for the appointment, he pledged to uphold transparency, accountability, and innovation in financial management. “My passion has always been to make every cedi count and to ensure CSU becomes financially self-reliant,” he noted.
Beyond his administrative and academic responsibilities, Mr. Nkansah serves as a Presiding Elder and Financial Secretary at Mishkan Elohim International Church in Kumasi.
