Rev. Anthony Boateng Agyenim,

Christian Service University (CSU) has officially opened the 2025/2026 academic year with a vibrant Commencement and Communion Service, held on Wednesday, September 24, 2025, as part of the University’s Chaplaincy programme. The service, officiated by the University Chaplain, Rev. Anthony Boateng Agyenim, united students, staff, and management for a time of worship, reflection, and renewal.

Pastor Emmanuel Dela

Delivering the sermon on the theme “Focusing on Your Calling” with a sub-theme “Remedy Mission”, the internationally acclaimed youth and student preacher, Pastor Emmanuel Dela, challenged the community to pursue God’s purpose with faith and discipline.

Exemplifying the life of Joseph (Jacob’s son) in the Bible, he highlighted four key stages of Joseph’s calling—family challenges, leadership training at Potiphar’s house, a period of hibernation in prison, and ultimately the fulfillment of his destiny as a savior of nations.

“Joseph endured obstructions but remained steadfast. He never sought revenge, but fulfilled God’s purpose with discipline and fortitude,” Pastor Dela emphasized, urging students to resist distractions and focus on their divine calling.

The service also featured the serving of the Holy Communion, where the community participated in the Lord’s Supper, in reflection of Christ’s sacrifice, and spiritual nourishment, with scripture readings from 1 Corinthians 11:23-27. The atmosphere was filled with praise, worship, and thanksgiving as the CSU community renewed its commitment to God’s guidance in the academic journey ahead.

The event, which coincided with Day Two of the 2025 SRC ‘Akwaaba’ (Welcome) Week Celebration, was fully attended by both freshers and continuing students, marking a colorful start to the semester and reinforcing CSU’s culture of faith, Integrity, and academic excellence.
