Christian Service University Launches Inaugural Issue of ‘JASAB’

– Advancing 50 Years of Research Excellence:
CSU has proudly released the inaugural issue of the Journal of Applied Science, Arts and Business (JASAB) on May 13, 2025, marking a significant milestone in its commitment to research and academic excellence.
Established in 1974, CSU has evolved over five decades into a leading institution that not only imparts knowledge but also fosters impactful research. The launch of JASAB underscores the university’s dedication to advancing interdisciplinary scholarship and contributing to global academic discourse.
The maiden issue of JASAB features 15 peer-reviewed papers—13 articles and 2 book reviews—selected from 30 submissions. These contributions span diverse fields such as theology, linguistics, education, economics, politics, public health, and religious studies. Authors hail from five countries, including Ghana, Nigeria, Kenya, and South Africa, representing eleven institutions like CSU, University of Ghana, Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology, Valley View University, South African Theological Seminary, and Trinity Theological Seminary.
In line with international best practices, JASAB has constituted a robust International Advisory Board that reflects the interdisciplinary scope of the Journal. The Board comprises ten distinguished scholars—four internal and six external—who bring diverse academic and professional expertise. Supporting the Board is a dedicated four-member editorial team overseeing the Journal’s editorial processes.
To ensure international recognition, CSU has secured ISSN numbers for both print (3093-4559) and online (3093-4540) versions of JASAB. Each publication has been assigned a Digital Object Identifier (DOI) by Crossref, facilitating easy citation and access. The journal’s website, integrated into CSU’s digital platform, is nearing completion and will further enhance its visibility.
This achievement aligns with CSU’s recent elevation to a fully-fledged autonomous university, marked during its 50th-anniversary celebrations. The new status empowers CSU to award its own degrees and reinforces its role in shaping minds and transforming lives through education and research.
The university community extends heartfelt gratitude to all contributors, reviewers, and staff who played pivotal roles in bringing JASAB to fruition. Looking ahead, CSU remains steadfast in its mission to promote research that addresses real-world challenges and upholds the values of faith, integrity, and excellence. In this spirit, preparations are already underway for a call for papers for the November 2025 issue of JASAB.
