In recognition for St. Monica’s outstanding performance, Management of CSUC has in
fulfillment of its promise offered two (2) separate ‘Full Tuition Scholarships’ to Miss Anastasia
Ahenkora Nkrumah, the Principal Speaker and Miss Matilda Dibloni, the Supporting Speaker to
study with CSUC, on completion of their second cycle education.

According to the President of the University College, Prof. Sam Afrane, “CSUC remains a giant
in youth development as it continues to be the hub for nurturing and propagating academic
excellence, and will continue to offer all kinds of opportunities for quality university education
which combines with high ethical values.”

He also noted that CSUC considers itself proud hosts of this unique programme intended to
unearth and develop the talents of our young generation, hence, the need for the scholarship
support.” He therefore urged the two beneficiaries to consider this scholarship as an opportunity
to count themselves as future graduates of the University College who would excel in various
leadership positions in Ghana and beyond.

St. Monica's Senior High School won the 3rd edition after beating Prempeh College with 264
points against 248. Speaking for the motion, the outstanding girls school justified with
demonstrative and fact-based analysis to affirm that “Africa is not under Slavery”. Meanwhile,
Mr. Christian Kennedy, the Principal Speaker for Prempeh College was declared the Best
Critical Thinker.

It would also be recalled that in 2018, CSUC pledged a similar award to the “Overall Best
Debator” Miss Hawawu Hanaan, and has duly honoured the pledge. Miss Hawawu is currently
undertaking her undergraduate education in Communication Studies at CSUC.
The award was occasioned at a mini-ceremony at the premises of St. Monica’s Senior High
School on August 19, 2021 and in attendance, were the school’s Head, staff and students.
