Prominent Scholar Commends CSUC For Leadership In Shaping Public Policy Through Public Lectures – Story by IAO

Professor Joseph Magnus Frimpong, an outstanding scholar in economics and finance, and the former Dean of KNUST School of Business hasIMG_9621 commended the Christian Service University College for her sterling achievements in organizing stimulating public lectures on sensitive national issues. He noted that CSUC as a private University has shown leadership for organizing lectures to contribute to national discourse on key issues such as corruption, post-election management, LGBTQ and currently, the IMF bailout. He argued that academia has a role in shaping national discourse through public lectures. He quizzed rhetorically, is there any other private university in Ghana that can measure up to this feat? He urged the university college not to relent on its efforts to organize such stimulating lectures to position the university in the corridors of relevance in the world of academia.

Professor Magnus Frimpong made this observation when he chaired a public lecture organized by the CSUC and titled: “Ghana, the ‘Fallen Angel’ shall rise: Lessons from the IMF bailout” which was delivered by Dr. William Kwasi Peprah, Associate Professor of Finance at the Andrews University School of Business Administration in Michigan USA.
