CSUC Commissions Multi-Purpose Recreational Facility

Christian Service University College (CSUC) has constructed a multi-use recreation site and a
car park through the excellent leadership of the University College President, Prof. Sam Afrane
and the Students’ Representative Council for transformational growth. The facility has been
christened ‘JEADFIC Court’, using the initials of the current SRC Executives and the Dean of
Students who has been instrumental to the success of the project.

The multi-purpose site is a major investment in
the life of the University community and as a
quality students extracurricular monument which
has to be used wisely to produce sporting
talents and preserve for the use of future
generation, according to Prof Sam Afrane
during the commissioning on May 19, 2021.
He also lauded the student leadership for such exceptional
invention.

The Facility is equipped with three modern courts comprising of a basketball, tennis and
volleyball, and is situated between the University library and clinic.

Initiated by the student leadership, and ably supported by staff and management of CSUC, the
facility formed part of the campaign promises made by the current SRC administration.

According to the SRC Vice President, Mr. Benjamin Antwi, the manifestation of the project at
the time of commissioning was just ‘Phase 1’ and that awaits ‘Phase 2’ which would involve
providing the needed kits including arena stands, lighting and front court fencing for the final
completion of the site.

He also acknowledged the untiring efforts of the SRC executives, management, individual staff

and students in the face of limited resources, and stressed on their commitment to offer
continuous support for the total completion and sustainability of the project. He therefore
appealed to corporate bodies and other institutions to aid this worthy infrastructural face-lift of
the School.
