You are welcome to the web. page of the Chaplaincy Unit of Christian Service University College. Spirituality reflects a broader dimension of day-to-day activity. It shapes our actions and is directly related to our values and to our ethical behavior. The aim of Christian Service University College is ‘to promote knowledge for the training of men and women in Christian values and principles, academic and professional excellence for the transformation of society.

In the light of this aim, the Chaplaincy Unit was established to address the spiritual needs of students and staff. The Unit concerns itself with the core mandate of creating and maintaining an environment which promotes the spiritual development and Christian value of both staff and students. Our key functions are:

  • Discipleship
  • Counselling Services
  • Gate Keeping and Staff Integration

The Chaplaincy Unit ensures that the University Community lives out its vision and mission through the under listed activities.


  1. Plan and coordinate all Chaplaincy related activities of the University College.
  2. Arrange and officiate chapel services (including Sunday, Wednesday, Commencement, Commissioning and Thanksgiving, Easter Reflections, Carols and Induction) and Staff Fellowships.
  3. Constitute and supervise a committee for the publication of a periodic prayer bulletin for the University College.
  4. Engage speakers, preachers, singers and technical personnel for the chapel services and retreats.
  5. Collaborate with Faith and Practice Programme (FAPP) Coordinator to ensure effective implementation of the programme.
  6. Coordinate and oversee the University College’s involvement in the Kumasi Chaplaincy Board’s activities.
  7. Collaborate with the University College Counselor to provide counselling services to Staff and Students.

Morning Devotions
Through the assistance of our student chaplain and other matured Christians on campus, morning devotions are held in the Executive Hostel and other affiliate student hostels of the University College from 5:00 am-6:00 am (Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays).

Staff Fellowship
The Chaplaincy organizes weekly staff fellowship for prayer, studying the word of God and leadership seminars on Mondays  12:00 noon – 1:00 p.m.

Chapel Services
Church services are held for the various sessions of our students (Regular School Students, Evening School Students and the Weekend School Students).

Regular School Students
Weekly mid-week church services are held for our regular students every Wednesday from 12:00 noon – 1:00 p.m.

Evening Students
Church services are held on the second Wednesday of every month for this category of students from 5:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m.

Weekend School
Church services are held for  this category of students once a month (2nd Saturday of every month), from 9:00 am – 10:00 a.m. due to the weekend School lecture session which starts from Friday 5:30 p.m. – 8: 30 pm and ends on Saturday 7:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.

CSUC Community Church
In order to ensure the spiritual development of students on campus, a non-denominational church service is held for students every Sunday from 7:00 a.m. – 9:30 a.m.
