Yaw Boadu-Ayeboafo (Prof.) takes full Appointment at Christian Service University College, CSUC, Kumasi

ee9a0410A ‘born to write’, Yaw Boadu-Ayeboafo has chosen academia overall, because, combining media practice with teaching has improved his competence and sense of professionalism.

The Writer cum Academician took his full-time appointment on October 2018, as an Associate Professor after teaching on part-time basis since 2011 at the faculty of Communication Studies, Christian Services University College (CSUC). He has over the years taught Media Management, Development Communication and Media Law and Ethics.

Prof. Boadu-Ayeboafo has been involved in teaching since 1998, beginning from the University of Ghana, the Ghana Institute of Journalism (GIJ), and as an adjunct lecturer at the level of Associate Professor at the Department of Communication and Media Studies, University of Education, focusing his teaching in Print Journalism.

The media practitioner has contributed meaningfully to the media landscape in the country and beyond, and is associated with professionalism and respect for ethics’.

Prof. Boadu-Ayeboafo has observed to use his rich experience and long service in communication and media practice to advance the communication Department of CSUC.

He has indicated as part of his contributions, to uphold a standardized media training at the University College with the introduction of ‘short courses in today’s media and journalism practice’ to reach out to media practitioners, especially those in Kumasi to improve their work ethics.

The ‘Journalism Icon’ retired after 35 years of service with the Graphic Communications Group Limited (GCGL) as the Director for Newspapers, having served in various capacities across Ghana including the Executive Secretary of the National Media Commission and Editor of the Daily Graphic Newspaper.
