CSUC Staff Participate in Integrity Conference

SUC cherishes and upholds integrity as one of its core values, and deems it central to the activities of the University College. In relation to this, some selected staff of CSUC participated in an integrity conference organised by the Ghana Fellowship of Evangelical Students (GHAFES) in collaboration with Scripture Union (SU), the Full Gospel Business Men’s Fellowship (FGBMF) and other partners.

The two-day conference was held on 14th and 15th October, 2013 at the St. George’s Church in Kumasi. The conference sought to inform, educate and promote the values of integrity among Christian leaders in Ghana and encourage them to live a life of simplicity and honesty. It also provided a forum for discussion and exchange of ideas, expertise, and experience among church leaders and workers, institutional leaders, leaders of professional societies, academic staff and administrators.

Thematic areas explored included:

  • Integrity in the pulpit
  • Integrity in the marketplace
  • Integrity in relationships
  • Integrity in the use of time
  • Integrity in communication

Speakers who addressed the conference were Rt. Rev. Prof. Osei Safo-Kanatanka, Bishop of the Kumasi Diocese of the Methodist Church Ghana and Chairman of CSUC Council; Prof. (Mrs.) Ibok N. Oduro of the Department of Biochemistry and Biotechnology/Food Science and Technology, KNUST and CSUC Council Member; Mrs. Abena A. Nickson and Rev. Dr. (Mrs.) Margaret Asabea Aboagye, CSUC Chaplain. They reiterated the need for Christians to uphold and promote the values of integrity to make Ghana a better place to live.

A cross section of participants expressed satisfaction with the content of information provided by the conference, and pledged to promote the values of integrity in their various fields of endeavour.
