Welcome to the Office of the Registrar of CSUC. The Registrar is chief administrative officer of the university reporting to the President and responsible for overseeing the day to day administrative affairs of the university. This includes oversight of Admissions; Human Resources; Campus Operations; and the Academic Affairs. Other responsibilities of the Registrar include the following:
Ensure that the staff, faculty and overall services of the university are well organized and conducive to the development and progress of the university college’s mission.
Member of the Governing Council, which is in charge of strategic planning and overall management of the university.
Member of the Academic Board, which oversees matters related to curriculum development and academic policies.
Enter into agreements, sign documents and authenticate records on behalf of the University College.

Mrs. Amma K. Kwaa was educated at Ghana Secondary School, Koforidua in the Eastern Region of Ghana, the University of Ghana, and the University of Bradford, in the U.K. She holds a B.A in English and Drama/Theatre Studies, Graduate Diploma in Communication Studies awarded by the University of Ghana in 1980 and 1982 respectively and Women into Senior Management certificate awarded by the University of Bradford in 1996.
Mrs. Kwaa’s career in management in higher education, beginning in 1990, span a period of twenty-six years all at the University of Ghana where she worked in different sections of the university. She retired in 2016 as Deputy Registrar and Secretary to the College of Health Sciences. Exposure to university administration to other higher educational institutions during the course of her work at the University of Ghana, for study visits in Denmark, Nigeria, the United Kingdom and South Africa, has also contributed to the experience she brings on board.
Prior to working in the University of Ghana, she had taught English in Bangladesh, Ghana and Nigeria. While in Ghana she taught at the Achimota School, Ghana National College and at the Presec Afternoon School (Legon).
Mrs. Amma Kwaa is married with two adult daughters.
The Office of the Academic Affairs provides leadership to the academic mission of the University College. In service to this mission, Academic Affairs:
- Promotes and sustains the highest standards in teaching, research, and service.
- Fosters faculty excellence and achievement.
- Promotes a respectful work environment, equity and inclusion, a family-friendly workplace.
- Supports and coordinates matters that pertain to faculty and academics, including hiring, retention, promotion, and tenure processes.
- Advances university college outreach to the local community, the state, and the national and international community.
