CSUC Scales Up its E-learning Programme

President of Christian Service University College, Prof. Sam Afrane has announced that the University College is making great strides in its e-learning endeavours aimed at facilitating pedagogy and to attract potential students at distant places. He said this during the 42nd Matriculation ceremony of the institution held over the weekend.

According to the President, CSUC is now at the second phase of its e-learning project where it has rolled more than half of its taught courses and programmes onto the Moodle platform.

This move has enhanced pedagogy as teaching and learning has become more proactive and student-centred. Apart from the advantage of savings in time and convenience offered to students in that they do not need to be on campus for every lecture, this style of learning also enables students to be more proactive, inquisitorial and makes teaching and learning a shared responsibility between both faculty and students.

Registrar for the University College, Mrs. AmaKyerewaKwaa encouraged the students to take their studies seriously as she administered the matriculation oath that formally sealed the admission of 414 freshmen and women into the CSUC.

“A fifth of the matriculants are graduate students admitted into the following programmes: MSc Monitoring and Evaluation; MSC Accounting and Finance and MA Theology with Administration,” disclosed the Registrar.

In keeping with the ethos of the University College, namely ‘to know Christ better and to make Him better known, the University College Chaplain gave a Bible to each of the matriculants. He explained this gesture was to enable them connect to the Lord and nurture their relationship with Him.
